Word Bunt Means Powerful Man or Warrior in the Tulu language.
On 16, October 2010 Bunts Association Pune a non-profit Socio-Cultural organisation is formed with the vision to preserve and promote Bunts Culture and its history in Pune City. Few bunts from Pune got together to devote themselves to unite and encourage their own people.
On 23rd December 2010 it was formally inaugurated by Mr. AjitKumar Rai Maladi a President of Bunts Mathr Sangha. It was for the first time in Pune to felicitate our fellow bunts with Sanman Patra for their social achievement. We were honoured to get a chance to felicitate our senior bunts from our own Pune City Shree Govardhan Shetty, Shree Jagannath Shetty and Late Shree Gunduraj Shetty in our Inaugural function. Then onwards it has become a trend. Bunts Association Pune is largely engaged in helping students from bunts community for education with an intention that not a single child will be deprived from education. So every year we award Scholarship to all bright and needy students. Every year in annual gathering we design our cultural events to encourage our young one to connect with cultural values and empower their participation with all pride.
Each year the association witnesses active participation of our members as a result of which the objective of the association is aiming new horizons. Bunts Association Pune is now moving towards achieving its goals by socially and economically extending a helping hand to fellow community members Pune
Bunts Association Pune is just 6 year old but it has organised events successfully for fund raising and to show case the talent of our community. In 2016, it has hosted a grand event called Anwesh Mr. and Ms. Bunts to provide young bunts to showcase their talent through beauty and brain. It was a huge success, where in our very first event there were more than 100 participants.
Bunts Association Pune is also working on following
-Matrimony - Ingenious Committee is formed for the same which is working to match suitable bride & groom. With the help of website also one can upload their details for the same. our Matrimony committee will get in touch for the same.
-Marriage Fund - to support the needy family. Appeal will be considered upon receipt of strong recommendation from our members.
-Scholarship - To provide help to the bright Students.
